Come with us on an incredible jungle walk through history as we visit the great Chacchoben Mayan Pyramids! A well shaded jungle hike with wild parrots and monkeys climbing through the canopies. Enjoy the beauty of the ruins created by the Mayans that lay dormant for almost 1,000 years. After the ruins there is an optional fresh fruit stand stop and then to the beach for some fun in the sun! Tables and chairs, lounge chairs, wifi, bathrooms, showers and more. Just let us know when you would like to return to the port and we will have you there in 5 minutes 🙂 Round trip transportation is included in the price!

Note! Due to new rules created by the Ruins administrators our drivers and photographers can no longer enter the ruins with you. A Mayan Ruins guide is available at the entrance to the park if your party desires at an additional cost and is 100% Optional.* Your driver will take you to the ruins where you can walk around freely and when you are ready to return to the beach, your driver will be waiting at the entrance to the ruins to bring you back.

Ruins tour is about 2.5 hours and you can enjoy the beach club until you wish to return to the ship

Departure:

Your party will leave from the Costa Maya port and head directly to the Chacchoben ruins as soon as you arrive at our vehicle ( about a 45 minute drive 1 way)

Chacchoben Ruins:

You and your Party will have at least 1 hour to tour and explore the beautiful and unforgettable ruins of Chacchoben

Mayan Fruit Stands:

While returning to the beach club from the ruins you will have the choice of stopping at a local fruit stand to purchase any of the delicious products that are locally grown

Arrival At Beach Club:

When you arrive at our beach club please feel free to make yourselves at home and take advantage of everything we have to offer! Total tour normally lasts just over 3 hours. ( If you do not desire to go to the beach club the driver will let you off wherever you wish in town, or take you back to Costa Maya Port) hours

Chacchoben ruins are located approximately 47 miles from the Costa Maya port. Meeting spot for this tour is located about 100 yards from the shopping area shown in the video below. You may also click the first link to see the video on our facebook page. WHEN YOU REACH THE PARKING LOT CAREFULLY CROSS AND FOLLOW THE ONLY ROAD AWAY FROM THE SHIP FOR 100 YARDS. We will be waiting for you with a whiteboard that will have your name on it. The walk is rather long and will take about 15 minutes from the ship to our location. If you have any problems just ask the locals for help and they will guide you. Below you will find an easy to follow video and map that will lead you to our meeting location.
